Introduction to 25Math.com

25Math.com is a resource specializing in online math tutoring.  Online math tutoring lessons are offered by qualified individuals to help students succeed.  Whether your child is struggling with a class or concept, or just needs a little extra help before a test, we are confident that we can assist him or her in these goals.  Importantly, we are proud to offer this at very low cost, and without a complicated system.

Absolutely.  And if it doesn’t for the student, we offer a money-back guarantee.  All of our lessons are individualized to the student’s needs.  Combined with the tools in the online learning environment, we are confident in your satisfaction and the integrity of our services.

We offer math assistance for K-12 students.  Algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and ACT prep are some of the subjects in which one of our tutors can provide help.  Talk to us about pre-calculus, calculus, and statistics that may require individual premium lessons.

What does the student need?  We will tailor the lesson to his or her specific course of study.  Consider some of the following areas:

  • Test Preparation
  • Homework Help
  • Standardized Test Practice
  • Conceptual Review

There is no “standard” lesson at 25Math.com.  We are more than happy to try different things in order to improve the student's abilities in math.

Absolutely.  We use PayPal for all payment processing and refunds.  We use WebEx Meeting Center for the lessons. All of our instructors have passed a background check.  Additionally, the lessons will be regularly recorded for quality control.

Any information we receive is safe.  We will only contact you concerning transactions and information pertaining to a lesson.  Also, none of your contact information will be given nor sold to anyone else.  By the way, we need very little information from you; that which is required to process your order, email information, and so forth to ensure you receive optimal service.

Payments and Refunds

Absolutely not.  We’re like a pay-as-you-go cell phone, without the drawbacks or high rates.

Simply pay for the product that you need.  Feel free to choose a package deal to save money; you can always get your money back (adjusted to the normal lesson rate, if applicable with unused packages).

Absolutely.  We exclusively use PayPal for all transactions.  PayPal is one of the most popular way of paying for just about anything.  Feel free to read more about PayPal’s security and protection.

We require 24 hours in order for you to cancel.  Just let us know in writing that you are unable to make a lesson – you can reschedule or get your money back as you prefer.  We do not offer refunds for cancellations that do not give 24 hours of notice from the lesson date and time.

Life happens and we’re all human.  In order to ensure that you are satisfied, if we have to cancel a paid lesson – it will be free.  We’ll schedule two dates for that one lesson that you have paid for already.

Of course, we will happily refund your payment right away if you wish.  Keep in mind that we will not give you more than that amount, in this scenario (i.e. you'll get the $24.95 back, but not double that for what we are agreeing to here).

A money-back guarantee is offered for customers taking their first lesson.  Contact us  in writing within 48 hours after your first lesson and we will promptly refund your money, for any reason.

We’re pretty confident that you’ll be back for more.  If not, please let us know how we can improve.  We reserve the right to renew that guarantee, perhaps for a different instructor.

No, they will not expire.  Unused lessons can be used at any time.  Also, you can always get your money back on unused lessons.  Of course, unused lessons purchased from a packaged deal may be adjusted to the single lesson rate.

Instructors

While we only have one right now (which will change as we grow!), our instructors are qualified, reliable, and bring plenty of experience.

Visit the instructors page for more details.

Yes, our instructors are all given a background check.  We will also review lessons for quality control.

The qualifications of our instructors speak on their own.  We 25Math.com has U.S.-certified teachers that have plenty of experience and care about the student's progress.  Take a look at them now!

No.  25Math.com is dedicated to ensuring that our instructors are of the utmost quality.  We do not use individuals outside of the United States.

No.  We do not use undergraduate or graduate students.  Combined with the previous question, we want to make sure our instructors can related to the most important part of the equation (no pun intended) – the student.

Learning Environment

We use Cisco WebEx Meeting Center for the lessons.  WebEx has some great functions, including mobile meetings, whiteboard features, and much more.  You will receive the email with the link prior to the lesson for easy access.

Contact WebEx directly at 1-866-229-3239  in the United States (others) for tech support concerning the meeting environment.

Wow, where should we start?  With the Cisco WebEx Meeting Center, the instructor can communicate via video chat, share documents, and use a whiteboard feature.  You can even access it by a smartphone or mobile device – though we don’t want the student to get distracted by some very cool games on the device...!

Better yet, take a look at this page (PDF) from Cisco that lets you in on its versatility.

No, feel free to have the lesson without video.  You’ll be able to see the instructor and communicate easily, along with document sharing, whiteboard, and other features.

Of course not!  Having a live tutor in your own home, or visiting one, is obviously ideal.  However, that’s not an easy option due to many factors.

At 25Math.com, we believe we are as good as it gets.  You’ll save money compared to in-person tutoring, and, compared to many tutoring centers, the student will receive a higher degree of attention (there are no more than two students in our “standard” lessons, and we offer “premium” lessons as well).  We could go on with the advantages, such as convenience, expertise, and so forth.

Really; give us a shot.

The Process

No, not at all.  We believe that everything – from the purchase to the lesson itself – is very simple.

By using PayPal, Full Slate, and Cisco WebEx Meeting Center we don’t have a lot of the overhead of other competitors.  We also don’t have a confusing ordering system with monthly plans and unclear services.  We keep it simple and offer personalized customer service, as well as that for the lesson, of course.

Option One: Purchase a lesson or lessons online.  Note at the bottom of the page the alternatives, involving scheduling directly on Facebook (this is where our deals will be!) or the Full Slate landing page.

Option Two: Contact us.  Email, phone, and so forth – we’ll help you set up a lesson or more.  We will even invoice you personally through PayPal if you’d like.  We don’t mind.  Note that you'll need to have an account for us to do this (to avoid handling your personal information) - you can register here.

Once the buying process is complete, you'll receive your receipt and confirmed lesson time/date.

Before your lesson starts, you will receive an email from WebEx (make sure messenger@webex.com makes it to your email account) with the meeting details.  There will be a link that you can click on to join the meeting; you will be permitted to join 10 minutes prior to the start of the lesson.

What can we say?  We like to think so.

If you like 25Math.com, “like” us on Facebook for great deals and good conversation.  If you don’t, let us know and we’ll do what we can to remedy the situation.
